Celebrating Integrity in Athletics

Integrity is a cornerstone of athletics, impacting every element of the sport. In the spirit of fostering a safer and more inclusive environment, Australian Athletics is gearing up for its second annual Athletics Integrity Month this November.

This initiative brings together everyone involved in athletics—from athletes and coaches to officials and volunteers—to promote a culture where the community can safely enjoy the sport.

Aiming for Improvement

The theme for this year’s Integrity Month is "Aim Up," which emphasizes raising standards across the board to enhance the overall experience for participants. According to Briar Sefo, General Manager of Integrity at Australian Athletics, integrity encompasses every facet of the sport.

"It’s not just high performance, it’s not just officials, it’s everybody," said Sefo.

Sefo stressed the importance of ensuring that all individuals involved in athletics can thrive within a secure environment, regardless of their role.
