Korda's Laughter as Trophy Breaks After Riviera Maya Win

Nelly Korda celebrated a triumph at the Riviera Maya Open in Mexico, but the victory party got an unexpected laugh when the trophy she hoisted split in two. Video of the moment shows Korda’s surprise turning quickly into laughter as the award gave way, prompting onlookers, tournament officials and fellow players to rush forward to help. The comic incident did nothing to dampen the mood: Korda remained jubilant, surrounded by teammates and competitors sharing in the celebration. The win adds to her growing LPGA Tour tally and provided a memorable, light-hearted highlight to an otherwise typical trophy presentation. The clip of the broken trophy has since circulated widely, capturing both the joy of the victory and the unpredictable nature of live sport.
