Corgi Dash Steals Halftime Spotlight in Denver

Tuesday 28 April 2026 — At the Timberwolves’ visit to the Nuggets in Denver, the halftime show took an unexpectedly adorable turn: a corgi race that had the crowd roaring. Short-legged contestants sprinted down the court in a tightly contested dash that truly went down to the wire, producing cheers, laughter and a flurry of camera phones.

Handlers guided the little dogs from the baseline as fans rose to watch the finish. The close ending and playful atmosphere offered a lighthearted counterpoint to the competitive intensity on the floor, and the promotion proved an instant hit with the arena crowd.

Arena staff kept the event quick and well-managed, and social media lit up with clips and reactions after the race. The corgi dash served as a reminder that halftime entertainment can be both fun and family-friendly, giving basketball fans a memorable moment between quarters.
