The countdown has begun for the highly anticipated 2027 PDC World Championship, scheduled to take place at Alexandra Palace in December. With the World Series of Darts Finals kicking off the season in September, players are keen to secure their qualifications and showcase their best performances.

Current Qualified Players

As excitement builds, the initial list of 128 players heading to London is starting to form. Qualification is determined through three primary routes:

  • Top 40 from PDC Order of Merit
  • Top 40 from ProTour Order of Merit (not otherwise qualified)
  • 48 International Qualifiers

PDC Order of Merit Qualifications

The first set of qualifications comes from the PDC Order of Merit, where the top 40 players will secure their spots. This prestigious list reflects the players' performance throughout the season and will be finalized closer to the Championship date.

ProTour Order of Merit and International Qualifiers

In addition to the PDC Order of Merit, the top 40 players from the ProTour Order of Merit who haven’t already qualified will also be included. Furthermore, a total of 48 international qualifiers will join the lineup, representing various regions and showcasing global talent.

It’s worth noting that the qualification routes can change if players earn spots through multiple avenues, which could open opportunities for others to qualify.

Key International Qualifiers

Some names have already emerged as likely qualifiers through international tournaments:

  • PDC World Youth Champion
  • PDC Development Tour Top Finishers: Jurjen van der Velde (second place) and Cam Crabtree (third place)
  • PDC Women's World Matchplay Winner
  • Prominent Asian qualifiers, including Paolo Nebrida (Asian Champion) and Ryuta Arihara (Asian Tour Qualifier)
  • Regional winners from various qualifiers, such as András Borbély (Hungarian Super League) and David Cameron (CDC Cross-Border Challenge)

As qualification progresses, fans and players alike will be watching closely to see who makes the final cut for this prestigious event.

The last update on qualifications was on November 1, 2026, and over the coming months, many more players will be added to the roster. Stay tuned for updates as the excitement around the 2027 PDC World Championship builds!
