The European Tour arrives in Bratislava for the Slovak Darts Open, a 48-player event running June 19–21. Big names in attendance include Michael van Gerwen, Gian van Veen, Gerwyn Price, Stephen Bunting and Jonny Clayton, with plenty of ranking points and prize money on offer as the tour resumes after the recent World Cup of Darts.
Overview
The Dutch pairing of van Gerwen and Gian van Veen were key figures for the Netherlands in the World Cup final last weekend. Van Veen is drawn against a revitalised Rob Cross with a place in the last 16 up for grabs. Van Gerwen will meet Krzysztof Ratajski in round two if both advance.
Third seed Jonny Clayton opens his campaign against Ryan Joyce, while Gerwyn Price is due to face Scotland’s Cameron Menzies in a potentially stiff test on Saturday evening. Other notable ties include Danny Noppert v Madars Razma and Tyler Thorpe v seventh seed Chris Dobey.
Nathan Aspinall, fresh from success at the German Darts Grand Prix, returns to European Tour action against Jim Long. Ross Smith, the International Darts Open winner, has been drawn against Joe Cullen. Wessel Nijman, who claimed his seventh ranking title of 2026 this week, takes on Benjamin Pratnemer for a spot in finals day. German No.1 Martin Schindler meets European Tour debutant Tom Sykes, and Australian top seed Damon Heta plays Kevin Doets.
