Sky Sports will be the exclusive UK broadcaster of the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League from the 2027/28 season. All 342 matches across both competitions will be shown on Sky Sports for four seasons beginning summer 2027.
Sky says the new rights sit alongside its existing football portfolio — including the Premier League, EFL, WSL and SPFL — meaning fans will often find live football to watch on Sky Sports most nights of the week.
Sky customers will be able to stream matches via Sky’s apps, while non-Sky subscribers can watch contract-free through NOW’s Sports Day or Month memberships.
Jonathan Licht, Sky’s chief sports officer, said the deal brings European competition back to Sky customers and reflects the company’s position as a major home of sport in the UK. He noted that the Europa and Conference Leagues have produced memorable moments in recent years and that English clubs have been strong performers in both tournaments.
Sky highlights the scale of its football coverage: seasonal lineups cited by the broadcaster include at least 215 Premier League matches, more than 1,000 EFL fixtures, up to 60 SPFL games, 118 WSL matches and coverage of the Bundesliga. The company points to growth in viewing across its expanded football offering — Premier League viewing hours up around 20% year-on-year, Women’s Super League viewing up about 22%, and women’s viewing overall up roughly 14% year-on-year.
The company also reported record audiences and several landmark sporting moments across its channels this year, including record weekend and Sunday audiences and peaks for major events from golf, darts, cricket, tennis and Formula 1.
Sky has extended its UEFA coverage elsewhere too: in Italy it holds an expanded partnership with exclusive rights to 185 of 203 Champions League matches and all 342 matches from the Europa League and Europa Conference League.
