Thursday brings a packed all‑weather card from Southwell and Wolverhampton, live on Sky Sports Racing. Here are the key races and runners to note during a busy night of action.
7.30 Wolverhampton — Free Bets On attheraces.com Handicap
Artagnan heads a field of six for Hamad Al Jethani and James Doyle. The Mehmas colt finished last season in good form, scoring at Chelmsford and following up with a third-place when favourite on his next outing; dropping into this 0-85 with Doyle taking the ride gives him obvious claims. Michael Bell’s Gold Star Hero, partnered by Hector Crouch, looks well placed if allowed to bowl along from the front — Bell is in fine form this spring. Queue Dos, who has four wins from six starts around Wolverhampton, appears the best of the remainder.
4.25 Southwell — Free Digital Racecard At Raceday-Ready.com Handicap (two miles)
Adjuvant and Carlton head a competitive six-runner contest. Carlton, trained by James Owen, is a proven all‑weather performer and arrives off a hurdles success at Huntingdon; he returns to the flat only four pounds above his Chelmsford victory in February and the step up to two miles could suit his stamina. Adjuvant, formerly rated higher, struggled in Doncaster’s big November handicap and is only on his second AW outing, but this is a gentler assignment where he could rediscover form. Imperial Sovereign remains consistent, while Senor Cortez is one to watch on just his second start for John Butler.
4.55 Southwell — Download The Racecourse App Raceday Ready Handicap
A tricky handicap where Tilted Kilt and last year’s winner Down To The Kid are among the principals. Down To The Kid finished strongly when beaten by Legal Reform over seven furlongs here last time and drops in grade, making him a live contender. Tilted Kilt has eased to a workable mark after failing to add to his 2024 debut success; he looked a touch unlucky two runs back at Haydock and, if fully tuned up on his return, is dangerous. Star Studied disappointed when favourite at Wolverhampton but is worth another look, and Eldrickjones should not be dismissed if reproducing his best winter form.

2.42 Southwell — Ay Up Duck, a debut second, is among eight entries.
