Sky Sports and the DP World Tour have agreed a four-year extension that keeps Sky Sports and NOW as the UK and Ireland broadcasters of the Ryder Cup and the DP World Tour through at least the end of 2029. The deal, which begins in 2026, secures exclusive coverage of the next two Ryder Cups: 2027 at Adare Manor, Ireland, and 2029 at Hazeltine, USA.
The renewal follows record audience figures for Sky Sports golf in 2025. Team Europe’s historic win at Bethpage Black delivered the most-watched weekend in Sky Sports history. Sunday’s singles session produced Sky Sports’ highest-ever golf peak audience — roughly one in four TV viewers tuned in, including more than 40% of viewers under 35. Sky Sports’ social channels generated about 55 million views, while Ryder Cup week drove 12.4 million page views across the Sky Sports app and skysports.com.
Under the new agreement, Sky Sports will continue to provide comprehensive coverage of the DP World Tour’s global schedule, which visits 25 countries in 2026 and features five Rolex Series events: the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, Genesis Scottish Open, BMW PGA Championship, Abu Dhabi Championship and the DP World Tour Championship.
Sky Sports’ chief sports officer highlighted that golf viewership is rising and said the broadcaster looks forward to bringing fans the next two Ryder Cups and more highlights from the season-long Race to Dubai. DP World Tour chief executive noted growing audiences and attendances, saying the partnership and Sky Sports’ storytelling will help expand the sport’s fan base.
Sky Sports remains the home of golf in the UK and Ireland, including exclusive live coverage of all four men’s majors and all five women’s majors. Fans can follow news, results and analysis via Sky Sports Golf, Sky Sports News, the Sky Sports app, skysports.com and Sky Sports’ social channels. The DP World Tour and the next two Ryder Cups will be available live on Sky Sports, with streaming available via NOW on a no-contract basis.
