Here is the official starting order for Saturday’s 2025 Las Vegas Grand Prix. After a wet, chaotic qualifying session the front row is familiar: McLaren’s Lando Norris takes pole ahead of Red Bull’s Max Verstappen. A surprise sits third, with Carlos Sainz putting Williams in P3, just ahead of Mercedes’ George Russell.
Oscar Piastri’s title fight suffered a further setback as he could only manage fifth for McLaren. Liam Lawson leads a strong Racing Bulls showing in sixth, with Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso splitting the team mates — Isack Hadjar lines up eighth. Completing the top ten are Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc in ninth and Alpine’s Pierre Gasly in tenth.
In a shock result at the back, Lewis Hamilton qualified 20th on Friday — the first time in his career he has been last on pure pace. He will gain one place on the grid because Yuki Tsunoda, who qualified 19th, will start from the pit lane after Red Bull elected to change the Japanese driver’s power unit and make setup alterations following qualifying.
