McLaren has added 11-year-old British karter Harry Williams to its Driver Development Programme, making him the youngest driver to join the outfit. Williams, from Nether Alderley in Cheshire, began karting in the Super One Series in 2021 and moved into Cadets the following year. After linking up with Fusion Motorsport in late 2022, he contested national and international events through 2023.
In 2024 Williams recorded a top-10 finish in the British IAME Inter Waterswift championship while also competing abroad. His 2025 season brought several standout results: he was crowned British Open Champion, claimed the O plate in the Italian Waterswift Series and placed fifth in the European Waterswift Championship. After stepping up to juniors he secured third place in the WSK Final Cup in OKN-J.
So far in 2026 Williams has raced in the WSK Super Master Series in OK-Junior and is scheduled to compete in the WSK Euro Series, Champions of the Future Series and the FIA Karting Championships in the same category.

Williams joins a programme that already features drivers such as Christian Costoya, Matteo De Palo, Leonardo Fornaroli, Ella Hakkinen, Ella Lloyd, Pato O’Ward, Grégoire Saucy, Ella Stevens, Dries Van Langendonck and Richard Verschoor.
