Rory McIlroy is back in TGL action for the SoFi Cup Playoffs on Tuesday, while Tiger Woods remains sidelined for the 2026 season as he continues to recover from back surgery last October.
McIlroy’s Boston Common meet Woods’ Jupiter Links Golf Club in the second match of Tuesday’s double‑header at the SoFi Center. Boston Common topped the SoFi Cup standings, with Jupiter Links fourth. McIlroy, the world No. 2, had been noncommittal after a disappointing title defence at The Players and a recent back issue, but he will lead Boston Common alongside Adam Scott and former Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley.
Jupiter Links will field Akshay Bhatia, Max Homa and Tom Kim, with Woods watching from the sidelines following surgery. Woods had hoped to play in TGL this season, so his continued absence leaves questions over any planned comeback at The Masters next month. Tom Kim’s hole‑in‑one at the 14th at the SoFi Centre was a key moment that helped Jupiter Links reach the playoffs.
Earlier on the card, Atlanta Drive GC aim for back‑to‑back TGL titles against Los Angeles Golf Club. Los Angeles line up Justin Rose, Tommy Fleetwood and Sahith Theegala; Collin Morikawa is absent after withdrawing early from The Players with a back problem. Atlanta will be represented by Patrick Cantlay, Chris Gotterup and Billy Horschel, with Justin Thomas sitting out after recently returning from a four‑month injury layoff.
The opening semi‑final starts Tuesday at 10.30pm, live on Sky Sports Golf, with the second match beginning at 1am on Wednesday. The two winners advance to next week’s best‑of‑three final series; the first final match is scheduled for 9pm on Monday March 23 (1am Tuesday March 24 UK time). Watch every match of the 2026 TGL season exclusively live on Sky Sports Golf.
