How’s The Guvnor heads to Wolverhampton tonight aiming for a third straight win, live on Sky Sports Racing.
5.30 Wolverhampton – How’s The Guvnor goes for three
The opening Win £250,000 With BetMGM’s Golden Goals Handicap at Dunstall Park rates How’s The Guvnor a live prospect for a hat-trick. Jennie Candlish’s gelding broke his maiden at Southwell on January 20, pulling clear by just under two lengths off a 53 mark. Raised 6lb, he followed up at Wolverhampton a week later off 59, again winning by a similar margin. A victory tonight could push him into the top 25 of the Horse of the Year standings.
Harbour Mission, another recent scorer, arrives after a two-length success at Wolverhampton last week following two poor efforts that included a 10th of 10. Secret Road brings reliability to the race, having finished in the placings in his last six starts; the handicapper hasn’t quite pegged him yet and he could figure for James Owen.

7.30 Wolverhampton – Eupator bids for another victory
Eupator tackles the Midnite A Next Generation Betting App Handicap in fine form, having improved quickly to win two successive races at Wolverhampton. On January 23 he led from the start and controlled the race, winning by more than five lengths when eased down as a heavily backed 6/5 favourite; he replicated that front-running display next time and looks to have further progress in him. A third straight win would not be a surprise.
Commander Of Life finished strongly to take second last time and remains in contention, while Charlie’s Choice could take advantage of a drop in trip for David Simcock.
8.00 Wolverhampton – Grey Horizon seeks a four-timer
The BetMGM Supports Safer Gambling Handicap features Grey Horizon, who goes for a fourth consecutive win. He has two wins over six furlongs at Wolverhampton and had previously scored as a 6/4 favourite at Southwell. Far Too Fizzy is another strong contender; after finishing behind Grey Horizon he produced a five-plus length success at Lingfield but has been penalised 10lb. The key question is whether that rise will blunt his challenge or if he can defy the new mark.
All three races are scheduled to be shown live on Sky Sports Racing this evening.
