Hannah Green won the HSBC Women’s World Championship for a second time, surviving a late charge from American Auston Kim to win by one stroke. Green, the 2019 Women’s PGA Championship champion, closed with a 69 after an up-and-down back nine that featured three birdies and three bogeys. She tapped in for a bogey at the 18th to finish 14 under, posting a four-round total of 274 at the par-72 Sentosa Golf Club and adding another Singapore victory to her 2024 triumph.
Auston Kim fired the day’s joint-best round, a 67 that included six birdies and an eagle, but bogeys at the 2nd and the par-3 15th ended her momentum. Kim finished 13 under, one shot behind Green on 275.
Minjee Lee, who shared the 54-hole lead with Green, struggled to take advantage in the final round and carded an even-par 72 with three birdies and three bogeys. She tied for third at 11 under alongside Angel Yin (71) and France’s Pauline Roussin-Bouchard (68), both finishing on 277.
Top-ranked Jeeney (Jeeno) Thitikul, coming off a win in Thailand last week, shot 73 and finished at two under, tied for 31st on 287 — one shot behind defending champion Lydia Ko, who posted a 72. England’s Charley Hull, Mimi Rhodes and Lottie Woad shared 10th place at six under, with Hull producing a three-under final round.
The 72-player, no-cut event was the second of three stops on the LPGA’s early-season Asian swing; the series concludes next week on Hainan Island, China.
