Since the inaugural season in 1950, drivers from 35 countries have claimed the Formula 1 World Championship. The United Kingdom leads the list with 11 champions. Brazil, Finland and Germany have produced three champions each. Austria, Australia and the United States account for two each. Argentina, Canada, France, the Netherlands, New Zealand, South Africa and Spain have each produced one world champion.
