Chelsea Women have announced that from the 2026/27 season the first team will play all Women’s Super League matches at Stamford Bridge. Head coach Sonia Bompastor welcomed the decision, saying the move underlines the club’s long-term commitment to the women’s side and will provide players and supporters with a consistent, high-quality home environment.
Bompastor described Stamford Bridge as a fitting stage for the squad’s ambitions and said playing regularly at the club’s principal stadium will help raise standards on and off the pitch, improve matchday experience for fans and inspire younger players coming through the academy. The switch reflects Chelsea’s continued investment in the women’s programme and aligns with broader efforts across the WSL to grow attendances and visibility for the women’s game.
The club confirmed the arrangement in an official statement, with the full transition scheduled to begin at the start of the 2026/27 campaign.
