Amanda Serrano says women’s boxing has reached a new level. A multi-weight world champion who headlined an iconic trilogy with Katie Taylor, Serrano is backing Most Valuable Promotions’ (MVP) new female-focused series, MVPW. The series launches with a London double-header on Sunday, April 5 — Caroline Dubois vs Terri Harper and Ellie Scotney vs Mayelli Flores — live on Sky Sports. Serrano recalls that when she began boxing women struggled for recognition, pay and big-stage opportunities. She says MVPW and cards like the London bill demonstrate how the sport is evolving, giving female fighters the platform to make history and claim the top spots in boxing.
Highlights of Serrano’s career, including Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano III, are available to watch worldwide on Netflix.
MVP — the company co-founded by Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian — has more women’s title fights on the slate: Alycia Baumgardner vs Bo Mi Re Shin for the unified WBA, WBO and IBF titles at the Infosys Theater, Madison Square Garden on April 17, and the WBA lightweight title bout between Stephanie Han and Holly Holm on May 30 in Texas.
Jake Paul emphasizes that supporting women has been a priority for MVP, calling the promotion a meritocracy where female fighters get the same investment, spotlight and opportunities as men. Nakisa Bidarian adds that MVPW is the natural next step in giving women the platform, investment and global stage they deserve, and that the first UK event highlights the strength of the nation’s talent pipeline.
