Coming through the youth system, Haaland played at senior level for Bryne’s reserve and senior teams.
He moved to Molde in 2017 (also playing for their reserve team), with whom he spent two seasons.
Haaland signed with Austrian Bundesliga side Red Bull Salzburg in January 2019, winning two league titles and one Austrian Cup.
In December 2019, he moved to German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund, where he won the DFB-Pokal in 2020–21.

In 2004, at the age of three, he moved to Bryne, his parents’ hometown in Norway.
Along with playing football from an early age, Haaland partook in various other sports as a child, including handball, golf, and track and field.
He also reportedly achieved a world record in his age category for the standing long jump when he was five, with a recorded distance of 1.63 metres in 2006.

Erling Haaland fired in a scintillating first-half hat-trick for Manchester City on Wednesday – and fired himself into the record books in the process.
The Norwegian hot-shot has started life at the Etihad with a bang after netting six goals in his first four Premier League games, including a treble against Crystal Palace at the weekend which saw City come from behind to earn all three points.

The Premier League is considered to be the toughest league and Manchester City manager Per Guardiola will be hoping that Haaland will be able to find his feet in his very first season of English top flight football.
Pep Guardiola has allayed fears over an Erling Haaland injury, saying he will play in Manchester City’s next pre-season friendly after missing out against Club America on Wednesday.
Guardiola revealed that he was not quite ready to make an appearance for his new team, but he will be when City take on Bayern Munich in their next friendly at the weekend.
‘Next game he will be ready,’ said Guardiola. ‘He had niggles and a few problems. We’ll see. He’s trained just two sessions and we didn’t want to take risks. The season is so long.
‘He had problems last season and tried to handle it. We want to take care of him and want him fit.’
