Beau Greaves has been drawn against Darryl Pilgrim in the opening round of the UK Open, where Luke Littler returns as defending champion.
Greaves is part of a 160-player field competing at Butlin’s Minehead Resort from March 6-8. Sixteen-year-old Kyle Gilding faces Sam Spivey, and 20-year-old Charlie Manby is scheduled to play Swiss No 1 Stefan Bellmont.
Reigning champion Littler and world No 1 Luke Humphries will join the remainder of the top 32 when they start their tournaments in round four on Friday evening. Former champions Michael van Gerwen, Gary Anderson, Danny Noppert, James Wade, Nathan Aspinall, Dimitri Van den Bergh and Andrew Gilding also enter in round four.
Greaves, who reached the fourth round on her UK Open debut last year, recently hit a nine-darter at Players Championship Six in Leicester.
Amateur qualifier Aden Kirk returns to Minehead after his memorable 2014 debut — when he beat Phil Taylor, Peter Wright and Gerwyn Price — and will take on Mervyn King.
Former world champion Peter Wright, who recently dropped out of the top 32, joins the action in round three alongside Raymond van Barneveld. Wright could face Lithuania’s Darius Labanauskas if Labanauskas wins his qualifying tie; Callum Francis and Maximilian Czerwinski also contest that section. Van Barneveld faces Czech No 1 Karel Sedlacek. Ricky Evans meets former World Grand Prix runner-up Brendan Dolan, and Joe Cullen is set to play either Cam Crabtree, Pascal Rupprecht or Jenson Walker.
Following the conclusion of round three on Friday afternoon, an open draw will be made live on the Main Stage for round four, with further open draws after each subsequent round.
