How’s The Guvnor goes searching for a third successive win at Wolverhampton tonight – live on Sky Sports Racing.
5.30 Wolverhampton – How’s The Guvnor chases a hat-trick
The opening Win £250,000 With BetMGM’s Golden Goals Handicap at Dunstall Park will see How’s The Guvnor attempt a hat-trick.
Jennie Candlish’s gelding scored first at Southwell on January 20, pulling clear to win by just under two lengths off a mark of 53. He was raised 6lbs and lined up at Wolverhampton seven days later off 59, yet again prevailed by a similar margin. A victory here could lift him inside the top 25 places in the Horse of the Year rankings.
Harbour Mission, another previous winner, arrives off a two-length success at the track last week after two poor runs where he finished 10th of 10. Secret Road has been notably consistent, finishing in the placings in his last six starts; the handicapper hasn’t quite found him yet and he could again figure for James Owen.

7.30 Wolverhampton – Huge improver Eupator bids for another win
Eupator contests the Midnite A Next Generation Betting App Handicap in fine form, having improved rapidly to win two on the spin at Wolverhampton. On January 23 he led from pillar to post, scoring by over five lengths in an eased-down success when heavily supported at 6/5. He repeated that front-running performance next time, leading from the break to win comfortably. With more to give, a third straight win would not surprise.
Commander Of Life ran on to finish second last time and is in the mix, while Charlie’s Choice could benefit from the drop in trip for David Simcock.
8.00 Wolverhampton – Grey Horizon looks to complete four-timer
The penultimate BetMGM Supports Safer Gambling Handicap features Grey Horizon, who bids to complete a four-timer. He has won twice at Wolverhampton over six furlongs, following a 6/4 favourite success at Southwell prior.
Far Too Fizzy is also in strong form. After finishing behind Grey Horizon, he won by over five lengths at Lingfield but was penalised 10lb by the handicapper. The question remains whether that rise will be enough to stop him or whether he can defy the new mark.
