Injury
The Cincinnati Bengals announced Week 1 inactives and wide receiver Tee Higgins is officially inactive/active for their matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.
Higgins was in concussion protocols throughout the week but progressed through it according to NFL reporter Ian Rapoport, clearing the way for him to play this afternoon.
The 23-year-old suffered a concussion in Week 1 against the Steelers, but was able to practice in a limited capacity on Wednesday.
His absence wasn’t health related and he’s expected to re-join the team on Friday.
It’s unclear if Higgins will play on Sunday against the Cowboys.
Defensive tackle Josh Tupou (shin) was back at practice after being out on Wednesday. Trent Taylor (hamstring) also practiced. Both players were limited.
Is playing today
Bengals receiver Tee Higgins was cleared from his concussion and will return to action today against the Cowboys.
Higgins was diagnosed with a head injury in last week’s 23-20 overtime loss to the Steelers. He had two catches for 27 yards in the season opener.
Receiver Trent Taylor (hamstring) also was listed on the injury report this week, and he, too, is dressed.
Defensive tackle Josh Tupou (shin) will make his 2022 debut after being inactive for the season opener and listed as questionable on the status report for Week 2.
The Bengals’ inactives are running back Trayveon Williams, guard Max Scharping, tackle Hakeem Adeniji, tight end Devin Asiasi (quad) and defensive tackle Jay Tufele.
The Cowboys’ inactives are quarterback Dak Prescott (thumb), receiver Michael Gallup (knee), left guard Connor McGovern (ankle), safety Jayron Kearse (knee), receiver Jalen Tolbert, cornerback Nahshon Wright and linebacker Jabril Cox.

Tee Higgins Fantasy
Higgins suffered a concussion back in Week 1 but was able to get himself cleared in time to suit up against Dallas in Week 2.
The third-year receiver hauled in a five-yard touchdown pass from Joe Burrow in the fourth quarter.
Higgins will be a solid WR2 in Week 3 against the Jets.
Tee Higgins caught six of his 10 targets for 71 yards and a touchdown in a 20-17 loss to the Cowboys in Week 2.
Despite being behind Ja’Marr Chase on the depth chart, Higgins is very much his equal in the eyes of Joe Burrow. Chase and Higgins are close to 1A/1B than WR1/WR2.
The Bengals’ offense doesn’t really distribute the ball much to its ancillary players. Higgins is very much capable of producing WR1 numbers.
While Higgins may not check the box of being his team’s leading receiver, he checks a whole host of other boxes.
Some guys around him have questions about age and declining efficiency (Keenan Allen), quarterback play (Terry McLaurin/Diontae Johnson), and passing volume (A.J. Brown). Higgins, meanwhile, has none of these concerns.
Tee Higgins stats
Higgins made his NFL debut in Week 1 of the 2020 season against the Los Angeles Chargers.
In Week 2, he recorded his first three professional receptions for 35 yards against the Cleveland Browns on Thursday Night Football.
