Rising mixed martial arts phenom Victoria Lee has died. She was 18.

One championship rising star Victoria Lee dead at 18

Lee’s death occurred Dec. 26, according to an Instagram post Saturday by her older sister, ONE Championship atomweight title holder Angela Lee. A cause of death has not been shared.

“She has gone too soon and our family has been completely devastated since then,” Angela Lee wrote. “We miss her. More than anything in this world. Our family will never be the same. Life will never be the same.”

On September 30, 2020, at the age of 16, Lee signed a contract to fight in the Atomweight division of the ONE Championship.

Then on February 26, 2021, she made her first fight in the ONE Championship 129: Fists Of Fury event, which defeated Sunisa Srisan in the second round.

On July 30, 2021, she made her second fight against Wang Luping in the ONE Championship: Battleground event, which she was able to win by submission with a triangle armbar in the first round. 

Lee faced Victoria Souza at ONE Championship 143: Revolution on September 24, 2021. She won the bout in the second round via ground and pound.

“Victoria was the most beautiful soul who ever lived. She was the best little sister in the world. The best daughter, the best granddaughter and the best godma / aunty to Ava and Alia.

“We miss you so much sis. More than you could ever realize. We’re all broken. Because a piece of you was in each of us and when you left, those pieces were ripped out of us.

“We will never be the same.”
