Redcliffe Queensland Cup player Liam Hampson has been found dead on an end-of-season trip to Spain.
Concerns were first raised for the 24-year-old when Arthars and others posted to social media that he had not been seen for 24 hours after last being spotted at the Sala Apollo nightclub.
Barcelona police confirmed to 7NEWS on Thursday morning (NZ time), that a body believed to be that of Hampson was found on a nightclub floor, believed to have been after a fall from a substantial height.

Liam Hampson has not been seen for 30 hours after disappearing on holiday in the Spanish capital, where he had been relaxing with his footy-playing mates.
Gold Coast Titans player AJ Brimson and Brisbane Broncos duo Jordan Riki and Jesse Arthars have taken to Instagram as they try to track Hampson down.
“Hey guys bit of a long shot but hoping someone out there could have any information about Liam who has now been missing for 30 hours in Barcelona,” Brimson wrote on Instagram.
“Please do not message me unless you have any help or info. We are busy trying to message family members etc.. Thanks!!”
Riki wrote: “Please help or share this is very scary for all of us he’s our best mate we want to find him.”

Hampson and a group of friends which included NRL stars AJ Brimson, Jordan Riki and Jesse Arthurs, had attended the Sala Apolo nightclub on Tuesday night together before they lost contact with Hampson at around 5.30am in the morning.
Brimson had posted a desperate message on social media asking for help finding his friend.
Also Barcelona Police since confirmed to 7 Newsthat the body is believed to that of Hampson with the death being treated as an accident.
“This morning, nightclub staff where Liam was seen for the last time, found a body on the floor in an area of the nightclub, Sala Apolo,” a police spokesperson told 7 News.
According to Spanish news publication El Caso, police believe Hampson may have died because of an accidental fall.
But News Corp reports that a handful of Australian players in England for the Rugby League World Cup knew Hampson, including Brisbane forward Patrick Carrigan.

The group of Queensland footballers had been in Europe for several weeks, posting pictures of themselves partying in Ibiza, Amsterdam, the Swiss mountains and Positano.
“My life is fantastic,” he captioned a series of pictures of himself and friends in Italy a week before his death.
“Police located the lifeless body of the Australian person that had previously been reported as missing today at noon (Barcelona time).
Also Workers at a nightclub in Paral.lel found the lifeless body of a man and alerted police at lunchtime,” a spokeswoman for the Mossos d’Esquadra, the Catalan Police, said.
