Shortly after exiting, the Baltimore star emerged from the sideline tent and went down the tunnel, leaving the offense in backup Tyler Huntley’s hands.

Jackson appeared to be walking OK, if not all that fast. Cameras showed him struggling to climb up stairs near the locker room.

Is Lamar Jackson going to Broncos

Lamar Jackson is going to the Denver Broncos. Yes, you heard that right. The Broncos are looking for a boost to what has been, so far, a failed season, and they just took an abrupt left turn.

However, the Baltimore Ravens need not hold their breaths or resort to sobbing. Their crown prince isn’t going anywhere.

That’s because the Broncos are signing 24-year-old cornerback Lamar Jackson, an undrafted free agent who just happens to bear the same name as former NFL MVP Jackson.

The other Jackson (6’2″, 208 pounds) will join the Broncos’ practice squad. The Broncos are dealing with a few injuries at the position, so the team felt it was wise to dip into the free-agent talent pool.

Cornerback Lamar Jackson, until recently, was one of the better corners left in free agency. He played 14 games in two seasons with the New York Jets, racking up 28 tackles.

After finishing the 2021 season on the Jets’ practice squad, Jackson signed a contract with the Chicago Bears for 2022.

Jackson did a solid job on the Bears and has been in and around the franchise ever since; he gets extra coverage due to his name and has a similar build to his much more famous namesake.

Lamar Jackson apologized for his vulgar tweet following Baltimore’s loss last weekend, saying Friday that he was angry and reacted.

Jackson hadn’t been made available since the situation since Sunday.

“I was just reacting at the time. I was mad. I wasn’t thinking about actions,” he said. “It was like, bitter. I was bitter. I feel like you should be bitter after a loss though. No smiles. In fact, the fans should be mad we lost too, but not mad at us. We tried.

“But it happened. I apologize, if I hurt feelings out there.”

After the Ravens lost 28-27 to Jacksonville on Sunday, a fan suggested Baltimore should let Jackson leave via free agency.

Jackson responded in a tweet that was later deleted, saying the person “never smelt a football field” and using vulgar language that members of the LBGTQ community said was offensive.

Jackson said he was upset after the game, and the fan’s tweet was the first thing he saw on social media.

“I just busted my behind — my whole team did, coaches did — and that’s what I seen, and I just reacted to it,” he said. “My bad.”

Jackson said his girlfriend recommended he delete the tweet.

When asked what he learned from this episode, Jackson said: “There’s kids watching. I don’t need the kids saying that. Just watch what you say. Try to stay off Twitter if something like that happens again. Hopefully we’re not losing no more.”
