As a senior in 2014, he was the Gatorade Football Player of the Year and became the first player to be named Mr. Texas Football twice. His team won three straight state championships and 43 games in a row.

He missed one start during this streak and finished his career with a perfect 42–0 record as a starting quarterback.

Murray was ranked by ESPN, Scout.com, and 247Sports as a five-star recruit and the best dual-threat quarterback in his class.

In May 2014, he committed to Texas A&M University to play college football and college baseball.

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray had to be carted off the field after just the third play from scrimmage against the New England Patriots.

Running out of the pocket to his right, Murray looked to juke a Patriots defender closing in and immediately hit the turf after trying to make a cut, suffering a non-contact injury that had him in considerable pain.

After being evaluated on the field, Murray was moved to the cart where his entire team consoled him as he put a towel over his head in clear disappointment.

Colt McCoy came into the game. The team said Murray was questionable to return and then was later ruled out.

Also it’s been a rollercoaster season for the Cardinals, who come into this game at 4-8. But it would certainly be rock bottom if their franchise quarterback, who just signed a five-year, $230 million extension prior to this season, is out for the season.

But Murray’s reaction and the ESPN broadcast saying he was sobbing after he was carted off the field, it looks like that could be a possible scenario.

This isn’t the first injury for Murray this season, as he was forced to miss two games recently because of a hamstring strain. But even when on the field, Murray hasn’t been his normal self.

What happened to

The 2022 season for Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has been disappointing to say the least: with low productivity, issues with teammates, and injuries galore for the former first overall pick in the 2019 Draft out of Texas A&M.

However, the most devastating news came on Monday Night Football in Week 14 when the Cardinals hosted the New England Patriots at State Farm Stadium.

On Arizona’s third offensive snap, Murray ran out to his right side and when he tried to cut for more yards, his right knee buckled oddly as his foot did not make the correct traction.

Also Murray fell to the sideline immediately without being touched by a Pats player and immediately lay motionless as teammates and opponents called for quick medical assistance.

The 2019 Offensive Rookie of the Year and two-time Pro Bowl selection was wheeled off the field on a cart as his colleagues wished him well, his place taken by Colt McCoy, who has already had plenty of activity so far this year.
