“Tristen recently started working on Kevin’s new podcast and the two enjoyed their time together,” reads the statement, posted to Twitter on Thursday by wrestling reporter Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com. “The Nash family asks if you could please respect their privacy during this time.”
Tristen, of Daytona Beach, had been working with his father on the “Kliq THIS” podcast, which covered the sports entertainment industry among other topics. He also played in a grunge band called The Builders, according to his Instagram account.
Sean Oliver, the co-host of the “Kliq THIS” podcast, mourned the loss of Tristen on Twitter, calling him “smart, sweet, savvy, witty, and mature beyond his mere handful of years.”

Son’s death
Professional wrestling star Kevin Nash addressed the tragic passing of his son, Tristen, Monday in his “Kliq This” podcast.
Nash said that his son died last Wednesday after suffering a seizure Tuesday evening. Nash said he found Tristen, 26, on his bedroom floor.
“He had what they thought was a seizure, and the seizure caused a cardiac arrest,” Nash said.
“He was basically dead on the floor with the EMTs around him. They got him back, and they got him in the ambulance and they tried to save his life.”
Nash thanked workers at Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach for their efforts.
Nash, 63, said that he and Tristen decided to quit drinking cold turkey, and said his son had not been feeling well since.
“I don’t think either of us felt great,” he said. “If you stop drinking coffee for a day, you get a headache. So, I think we were both dealing with it.”
Nash said that alcoholism was “his cross to bear” in life, noting that he lost several people, including his close friend and fellow wrestling legend Scott Hall, in part due to the disease. Ironically, Hall’s birthday came just one day after Tristen’s passing.
