Amanda Serrano’s promoter says the Puerto Rican has agreed to fight Katie Taylor at Croke Park next year.
Serrano is the number one option for Taylor’s dream fight at GAA Headquarters after the epic contest between the pair at Madison Square Garden back in April.
And Youtuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul, who is Serrano’s promoter, says his fighter has agreed to a Dublin bout with the Bray Bomber, with the fight expected to take place in April or May next year.
Serrano will aim to become the undisputed champion at 126lbs early next year. She currently holds the WBC, IBF and WBO belts at featherweight and is expected to challenge WBA champion Erica Cruz early in 2023.
“At the same time, we’d like to do a two-fight deal with them. There’s a massive opportunity for Serrano to fight Cruz and then Taylor in the big rematch.
“For Serrano to become undisputed at 126 and then fight Katie again for the undisputed at 135 at Croke Park in Dublin, it would make that rematch even bigger if you can imagine that.”
Hearn added: “We need to move on Katie’s next fight.
