Toilet
An excuse for why two NRL stars were caught on video, fully-clothed, in a toilet cubicle has been torn to shreds by two journalists.
An excuse provided for why Newcastle Knights stars Kalyn Ponga and Kurt Mann were seen walking out of a toilet cubicle has been torn to shreds.
In the short clip, Ponga and Mann are asked to step out of a toilet cubicle. Both men walk out, fully-clothed with drinks in hand.
“Oh, that’s a surprise,” the security guard can be heard saying as the two men walk out.
The damning footage comes after Ponga confirmed on Sunday his season was over due to strict concussion protocols.
He has been sidelined since the Knight’s round 19 clash with the Sydney Roosters.
“I’d be sweet for the last round but doing no contact for the year, it probably would be a wise thing not to play the last round,” Ponga said on Triple M.

Knights superstar Kalyn Ponga looks set to be stripped of the captaincy after a video emerged of him being kicked out of a toilet cubicle with teammate Kurt Mann.
The video came to light on Monday morning, sparking Ponga’s dad, Andre to claim the 24-year-old was “sick in the toilet and his mate went in to help him” while out celebrating “an exciting house purchase.”
Although, Fox League’s James Hooper suggested that wasn’t the real story, telling NRL 360: “You might have to get Pinocchio out again, we aren’t believing that fairytale are we?”
Newly signed football manager Peter Parr will front the media on Tuesday and News Corp Journalist Phil Rothfield believes it could be the end of Ponga’s reign as captain.
“I think it’s a really, really bad look and I know the Knights are really concerned about the PR side of it and the culture side of it,” he told NRL 360.
“Do you know how serious I think it is, I think he will be stripped of the captaincy over this.”

The deal – announced on Wednesday and reported to be worth $1 million per season – removes any threat of the 24-year-old linking up with the Wayne Bennett-led Dolphins when they enter the NRL next year.
The Newcastle superstar was one of the Dolphins’ primary targets and the 17th club is now expected to heavily chase Melbourne Storm five-eighth Cameron Munster.
Ponga had until June 1 to inform Knights management of his decision to exercise an option in his contract to stay at the club in 2023.
