He was named Alabama 6A second-team all state selection, was selected to the AL.com Coastal Alabama first-team.

The Kansas City Chiefs have got Patrick Mahomes another weapon. In a deal that was struck between the Chiefs and the New York Giants, wide receiver Kadarius Toney makes his way to the AFC West franchise.

Kansas City received Toney from New York and sent a conditional third-round pick and a sixth-round pick to the Giants.

The 23-year-old explosive receiver has found opportunities hard to come by this season with the Giants and it is hoped that Andy Reid, along with Mahomes, can unlock his potential.

At just 23-years-old, Toney has plenty of upside and it appears that Patrick Mahomes is quite happy with what his front office has done. The Chiefs quarterback took to his Twitter page and posted a GIF of The Rock smiling. Seemingly in approval of the Toney deal.

The Chiefs are currently first in the AFC West and have added yet another player who can take the top off a defense. The last thing the rest of the NFL wanted was Patrick Mahomes getting another weapon.

Well, he has got just that. It will be interesting to see how the move plays out in the coming months.

The rookie was shut out on the stat sheet for the first time in his career, a blanking that came to pass even with a reasonable target total.

Doubs has topped 47 receiving yards only once in his first seven games despite having logged at least five targets on five occasions, but he should have a solid chance of bouncing back in a Week 8 road matchup against the Bills on Sunday night where the Packers figure to have to pass heavily in an attempt to keep up.

Doubs did not top a 60% snap share in Week 1 or Week 2, but in Week 3 with Sammy Watkins and Christian Watson out, Doubs played 89% of the snaps and produced 21.3 PPR Fantasy points.

Allen Lazard is his only real competition for WR1 on this roster and Lazard’s start to 2022 looks suspiciously similar to his 2021 with a low target volume and a high touchdown rate.

Through three weeks, it’s hard to argue that Doubs isn’t in the driver’s seat if he keeps progressing as he has. Watson is the only other receiver who could supplant him, but Watson’s done nothing to earn the trust Doubs has.

Kadarius Toney was traded by the New York Giants to the Kansas City Chiefs in a surprising blockbuster deal. The Chiefs traded their compensatory third-round pick and a sixth-round pick to the Giants for Toney.

The 2021 first-round pick appeared in just 12 of 24 games for the Giants and finished with 41 receptions, 420 yards and zero TDs over that sample size.

Toney appeared to break out with 10 receptions for 189 yards (and seven yards on one rushing attempt) in his fourth game as a rookie in 2021 after racking up 78 yards on six receptions in the game before that. It was then that he jumped onto the Fantasy Football radar as a potential league-wining pick.

That was in Week 4, and Toney would go on to appear in just five more games as a rookie and he never topped 40 yards receiving — or found the end zone — in any of them. Toney only appeared in one game with the Giants in his second season before injuring his hamstring.

During this current season, while rehabbing his one hamstring injury, Toney reportedly tweaked his other hamstring — at least according to Giants head coach Brian Daboll.

Toney Tweeted then deleted something that would suggest he’s no longer dealing with an injury. CBSSports NFL writer Jordan Dajani has more on Toney’s deleted Tweets.
