With the Jaguars, Ramsey quickly became one of the top cornerbacks in the NFL, making the Pro Bowl twice and being named an All-Pro in 2017, in addition to helping Jacksonville snap a 10-year playoff drought.

However, following a fallout and standoff with the Jaguars’ front office, he was traded to the Los Angeles Rams midway through the 2019 season.

In 2020, he agreed to an extension with the Rams that made him the highest-paid defensive back in league history at the time.

He played college football at Florida State and was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars fifth overall in the 2016 NFL Draft.

The Tennessee Titans should always be looked as a possible contender when Ramsey is looking for a new home.

The Titans might not have the most cap space, but pairing Ramsey with cornerback Kristian Fulton could give Tennessee the best corner tandem in the AFC South. The Titans could send 2021 first-round corner Caleb Farley to L.A., where he could contend for a starting job.

When talking about his preferred destinations, Ramsey also listed the Las Vegas Raiders as a team he’d be interested in joining.

Las Vegas has plenty of cap space to facilitate such a move, and the team really could use a top corner to help revamp its defense.

The Rams would probably like to send Ramsey to an AFC destination if possible, so let’s say the cornerback’s previously stated interest in the Raiders make them a very possible spot.

Pairing Ramsey with Detroit’s 2020 first-round corner Jeff Okudah would be just what the doctor ordered for the Lions to really position themselves as 2023 playoff contenders. Detroit has the cap space for Ramsey’s salary, too.

While the Bears technically have three starting cornerbacks on the roster, players like Ramsey don’t come available often and neither does Chicago’s staggering amount of cap space.

While Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow will be in line for a new deal very soon, perhaps Cincinnati would make a big trade like this to capitalize on the waning days of Burrow’s rookie deal.

Adding Ramsey to Cincinnati’s already formidable defense would be a huge boost in the AFC arms race and could position Cincinnati as a title favorite for 2023.

Here are the top Landing spots for Jalen Ramsey :

Detroit Lions: Outside of the Jared Goff recruitment to Detroit, the Lions would be an ideal team to take on Ramsey’s hefty salary.

Lions general manager Brad Holmes had a prominent leadership role in the player personnel department with the Rams and was influential in getting Ramsey to the Rams in 2019.

Detroit would be an attractive destination for Ramsey given the Lions’ needs at cornerback and the cap space available to bring him onto the roster.

Cincinnati Bengals: The Bengals have changed the trajection of their free agent spending over the past year, actually using their cap space on free agents in building their roster while Joe Burrow is on his rookie deal.

Cincinnati’s franchise operates differently since Burrow arrived, and the Bengals have a significant need at cornerback.

Ramsey may be the player who can give the Bengals the edge over the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC. It doesn’t hurt that Ja’Marr Chase has a ton of respect for Ramsey, either.

Las Vegas Raiders: Ramsey did go on the record that Vegas would be an “ideal playing situation” in 2019, so there’s a good starting point for the Raiders. Las Vegas has significant cap space and a dire need at cornerback, so the time would be right to bring in Ramsey.

The Raiders may have moved on from Derek Carr, but there’s enough top-end talent to not fully commit to a rebuild. The Raiders can take a chance on Ramsey to improve their 29th-ranked pass defense in 2022.
