While a youth player at Arsenal, Bellerín also helped the club to reach fourth place of the NextGen Series of 2012–13.
Bellerín started his career at Barcelona, and moved to Arsenal in 2011. On 21 November 2016, he signed a long-term contract that tied him to Arsenal until 2023, but returned to Barcelona in September 2022, after spending the previous year on loan at Real Betis.
Bellerín played internationally for Spain from under-16 to under-21 levels. He made his senior debut for Spain in 2016 and was later chosen for the European Championship of that year.

The Spain international returns to his former club for free on a one-year deal having reportedly waived any payments owed by the Gunners. He is also taking a big pay cut.
It’s claimed Edu has inserted a 25% sell-on clause in the defender’s contract, presumably in case he leaves the Camp Nou in the January transfer window or extends his deal.
Lured to London by Arsene Wenger in 2011, Hector appeared 239 times for the Gunners making 29 assists and scoring nine goals.
He was a member of three FA Cup and Community Shield winning squads and earned a place in the PFA’s Premier League Team of the Year in 2015/16.

Barcelona have re-signed Hector Bellerin after the defender agreed a contract termination with Arsenal, LaLiga announced on Thursday.
He went on to make 308 appearances for Arsenal, scoring 15 goals, but spent last season on loan at Real Betis, with sources telling ESPN he was intent on a fresh challenge after more than a decade in north London.
Betis were keen on signing Bellerin permanently but continue to have LaLiga registration issues, a problem Barca also encountered but are gradually resolving.
The 27-year-old joins Barca on a free transfer having agreed his exit from Arsenal.

Two days later, he was chosen for the final squad after Dani Carvajal withdrew through injury. He was unused as they reached the last 16.
On 31 August 2021, Bellerín returned to Spain after a decade, joining Real Betis on a season-long loan.
On 1 September 2022, Bellerín returned to Barcelona following the termination of his contract at Arsenal.
