Draymond Green : Why did hit Jordan | Full Video
On Friday, following the circulation of a viral clip that saw NBA star Draymond Green landing a clean knockout punch of teammate Jordan Poole, Paul tweeted about the incident and not only seemed impressed with Green’s punching power, but went as far as to make a lucrative offer for the former Defensive Player of the Year to box under his Most Valuable Promotions banner.
“Draymond I got $10 million for you to get in the ring on the next Most Valuable Promotions pay per view,” Paul wrote, tagging Green. “Who you want?”
Green has a reputation as both one of the greatest defensive players in NBA history and one of the sport’s most notorious agitators, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see the 32-year-old strap on the gloves especially if Paul’s offer is even remotely serious.
Why did hit Jordan
The violent altercation between Draymond Green and Jordan Poole at practice on Wednesday certainly sounded bad at first, but a video of the altercation leaked to TMZ on Friday morning revealed just how serious the situation was.
In speaking to reporters on Thursday, Warriors general manager Bob Myers addressed the incident, saying that discipline will be handled internally and did not believe it would result in Green being suspended for any regular season games.
In a column written by The Athletic’s Marcus Thompson II on Friday, he cited sources in reporting that the Warriors’ view of the situation has been altered since the video leaked.
“Multiple sources said their view of the situation is altered Thompson II writes. “Seeing Green walking up on Poole with obvious bad intentions, Seeing him respond to a baited shove from Poole with a ready swing.
Seeing how much venom was behind the punch. That wasn’t the Draymond they knew. That was different than a chin-checking jab they presumed, the kind of measured punch you’d give your little brother.”
As The Athletic’s Anthony Slater pointed out on Twitter, some players, coaches and Warriors personnel that were on the practice floor when the incident took place had not seen the incident in real-time.

Shocking video shows Draymond Green violently attacking Jordan Poole, viciously punching him to the ground right in the middle of a team practice .
Green and Poole clearly have beef … you see them trash-talking each other, and then it turns physical.
Green walks up to Poole and gets in his face. Poole pushes Green away with 2 hands to the chest, green, who is 6’6″ and 230 lbs, responds with a vicious right cross to the face … so ferocious, it knocks Poole to the ground and it may have knocked him out cold.
Warriors GM Bob Myers seemed to minimize the incident later, saying, “These things happen. Nobody likes it. We don’t condone it, but it happens.” He goes on to say, “Draymond apologized to the team. Jordan was there in the room … as far as any suspension, punishment, fine, we will handle that internally.”
As for the reason behind the fight, Stephen Curry denied a report claiming a change in Poole’s attitude amid contract negotiations led to it … calling it “absolute BS.”
