Dubois’ first fight as a professional was a knockout win in the first 35 seconds of the first round against Marcus Kelly in April 2017.
In his fourth fight, he knocked out Mauricio Barragan, a late substitute, in the second round to win the vacant WBC Youth heavyweight title.

He won the English heavyweight title in his eighth fight in June 2018, beating journeyman Tom Little by stoppage in the fifth round.

It is not uncommon for fighters to feel more nerves when their closest confidantes step into the ring but Caroline and Daniel’s high-stakes fights were particularly testing.
Caroline, just 20, was at an Olympic qualifier in Paris on June 5 with a place at Tokyo 2020 up for grabs, having already beaten a far more experienced rival.
Daniel, a couple of hours later, was making his heavyweight return in London against Bogdan Dinu in his comeback from a broken eye socket.
Caroline’s Olympic quest has continued through her older brother’s painstaking recovery from the injury inflicted in his first career loss to Joe Joyce. She has seen how things can go wrong but has persevered.
“Definitely when he gets in the ring,” she smiles through obvious torment when asked if it is more nerve-wracking to watch a loved one strap on the gloves.
Caroline grimaces when thinking about Daniel’s battles: “So many big blows are thrown. One of them will land.
Caroline would normally have been present with her brother before his fights but, last month, was forced into unusual solitude from him when her Olympic qualifier fell on the same day.
“You have to focus on yourself so I felt bad that my brother was boxing,” she says.
“Normally I’m always there around him, giving all my attention and focus to him. “It was stressful.”

The sister of heavyweight Daniel Dubois fought professionally for the first time at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff on the undercard of Chris Eubank Jr vs Liam Williams and impressed by landing clean shots to her opponent.
Dubois has been fighting since the age of nine and in her amateur career, she became the European Youth champion four times and won gold at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games.
In front of a packed Motorpoint Arena, the 21-year-old got the British crowd on her side from the start after she picked Neil Diamond’s ‘Sweet Caroline’ as her entrance music.
‘It was amazing, to be honest. The crowd was amazing. It was a good atmosphere to be apart of and good to get it out of the way,’ Dubois said after the fight.
‘It felt amazing. I saw my dad waving, my brother. It felt good.
‘I felt the nerves a little bit. I feel like I rushed my work a little bit. If I had just stepped back and boxed like I know I can I would have been better I reckon.’
BOXXER promoter Ben Shalom said that she could have an impact on women’s boxing over the next 10 years.
‘There was huge competition to sign her. There’s a presence about her, there’s something special,’ he said.
‘We get excited because we know what she can do for women’s boxing over the next 10 years.’
