It was the eighth event that WWE held in Saudi Arabia under a 10-year partnership in support of Saudi Vision 2030.
Eight matches were contested at the event. In the main event, Roman Reigns defeated Logan Paul to retain the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
In other prominent matches, Braun Strowman defeated Omos, Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky) defeated Alexa Bliss and Asuka to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, Bianca Belair defeated Bayley in a Last Woman Standing match to retain the Raw Women’s Championship and in the opening bout, Brock Lesnar defeated Bobby Lashley.
Who won Crown Jewel 2022
WWE kicked off Crown Jewel with the match between Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley. Surprisingly, Lashley appeared to dominate The Beast Incarnate. He was even very close to defeating the 10-time World Champion after putting him in The Hurt Lock.
However, the finish was somewhat controversial as Lesnar used the turnbuckle to push himself back and fall on his opponent to pin him. Following the match, Lashley attacked Lesnar and put him again in The Hurt Lock.
For nearly 216 days, Bianca Belair has held the RAW Women’s Championship. Since returning from injury, Bayley has targeted The EST of WWE and tried to strip her from the title.
However, after losing a Ladder Match to Belair at Extreme Rules, The Role Model tried her luck again at Crown Jewel when the two squared off in a historic Last Woman Standing Match.
After a brutal battle between the two ladies, Belair emerged victorious. She trapped her opponent inside a ladder under the turnbuckle following a devastating KOD on a steel chair.
After hosting Roman Reigns on his podcast a few weeks ago, Logan Paul challenged The Tribal Chief for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. The two superstars squared off at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.
While many doubted Paul, the 27-year-old once again proved that he has the talent and ability to become a top superstar.
The Maverick gave an impressive performance against The Head of the Table and was very close to capturing the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship several times during the bout.
Despite his defeat, Paul seems to be the winner of tonight’s match against Reigns since it gave him the credibility he needed as a serious in-ring competitor in WWE.
Crown Jewel 2022 Cancelled
Crown jewel cancelled ? As of Thursday afternoon, there was no indication from WWE that there were plans to shut the show down. In fact, talent has already begun to arrive in Saudi Arabia.
On November 1, Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com wrote, “In speaking to several at WWE, we are told that the show is set to still go forward and that the company already has security protocols and emergency contingencies in place for any issues.” Fightful Select, on November 3, also reported the following: “WWE is planning to hold a press conference in Riyadh Friday at 10 AM EST on their social media accounts.
Talent has arrived in the area and have began promotion. As of now there are no plans to cancel the show but we’re told they’re on high alert in case.”
WWE’s shows in Saudi Arabia have always been challenging due to the politics surrounding everything.
Inside the squared circle, though, the 2022 edition of Crown Jewel is shaping up to be a stellar card for the company.
Roman Reigns Vs. Logan Paul is carrying a ton of intrigue. Despite a severe paper mismatch on paper, several prominent wrestling websites have predicted a win for Paul. It wouldn’t be clean, but seeing the social media mogul leave Saudi Arabia as WWE’s unified champion would be shocking.

Paul’s froginess got the better of him as he was intercepted mid-air after a sky-high springboard.
The champion took the reins for the middle portion of the match, stretching out Paul while calling out YouTubers KSI and MrBeast. Paul nearly did the impossible with a fantastic blockbuster off the corner ropes. Paul hit Reigns with a stunning Superman elbow, top rope crossbody and standing moonsault for another near count.
