As a 14-year-old he lifted the title in his second season, joining the Triumph Triple Challenge and then progressing into the British 125GP Championship in 2011.

In 2013, Rouse dominated the Triumph Triple Challenge season with 10 wins and numerous top three results, finishing off the podium just twice as he took the title with two races still to go.

The incident occurred on the opening lap of the third as well as the final scheduled British Superbike race.

Coming out of Goddards hairpin, Chrissy Rouse was victim of a ruinous high-side, and was then unavoidably struck by an oncoming (unidentified) rider.

The television footage never showed anything about the dynamics of the incident, except for the initial high-side phase.

Stabilized and put in a medically induced coma at the medical centre of the circuit, he was subsequently transferred for further assessment at the Queens Medical Centre / University Hospital of Nottingham, where in recent days he underwent emergency neurosurgery due to the serious head trauma received.

In the early afternoon of today, however, there was unfortunately nothing that could be done for the 26-year-old and he passed away as reported in the press release issued by the promoter of the MSVR championship.
