If the Steelers are to have a chance against this Eagles team, they’ll likely need to pull out all the stops and this was pulled stop.

The score capped off a 13-play, 7:26 drive — one that nearly ended in a short field goal attempt after the Steelers stalled at the 2-yard line.

But a delay of game on the defense moved the Steelers to the one yard line, and the Steelers sent their offense back on the field for 4th-and-goal at the 1.

It was Claypool’s first pass attempt in an NFL game, and Watt’s first career touchdown reception.

The Chicago Bears have acquired wide receiver Chase Claypool from the Pittsburgh Steelers at the trade deadline in exchange for a 2023 second-round pick, it was announced Tuesday.

The Bears also sent defensive end Robert Quinn to Philadelphia Eagles for a fourth-round pick on Wednesday.

Claypool, a 2020 second-round pick by Pittsburgh, has 153 catches for 2,044 yards and 12 touchdowns over the last two-plus seasons. Ten of Claypool’s touchdowns came as a rookie.

The acquisition provides Bears quarterback Justin Fields with help at the receiver position. Darnell Mooney leads Chicago in receiving production with 25 catches for 364 yards and no touchdowns through eight games.

No other Bears wideout has more than 164 receiving yards or 11 catches, marks that both belong to Equanimeous St. Brown.

Claypool was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second round, 49th overall, in the 2020 NFL Draft as the team’s first selection.

Although eligible as a Canadian and rated as the No. 2 prospect, Claypool went undrafted in the 2020 CFL Draft.

With his Week 5 effort, Claypool became the first Steelers rookie in franchise history to score four touchdowns in a game, and the first Steeler since Roy Jefferson in 1968 to do so.

Claypool also became the only wide receiver in NFL history to accomplish this feat in the same game. His performance helped the team start out with a 4–0 record for the first time since 1979.

In Week 10, against the Cincinnati Bengals, he had four receptions for 56 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns in 36–10 victory.

In the Wild Card round of the playoffs against the Cleveland Browns, Claypool recorded 5 catches for 59 yards and two touchdowns during the 48–37 loss.

The Bears have been sellers on the trade market the last two weeks, but they switched roles to become buyers on Tuesday.

Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Bears have agreed to a trade with the Steelers for wide receiver Chase Claypool. A 2023 second-round pick will be going back to Pittsburgh.

The news comes a day after the Bears traded linebacker Roquan Smith to the Ravens. They also traded edge rusher Robert Quinn to the Eagles last week and picked up three 2023 draft picks, including Baltimore’s second-round pick, in those deals.

There are conflicting reports about whether it is the Bears’ original second-rounder or the one they got from the Ravens that will be going to Pittsburgh.

With the Steelers struggling and Diontae Johnson signing a contract extension earlier this year, Claypool’s name has been mentioned as a trade candidate in several corners in recent weeks.

The Bears were rarely mentioned as a landing spot, but it seems Chicago see him as a piece that can help quarterback Justin Fields build on some promising recent performances
