Hull was first introduced to golf aged two, and began playing with her father at Kettering Golf Club. She left school aged 13 to be home schooled, and started playing in amateur tournaments.
Hull came to public attention aged 9, when she won a significant 18-hole handicap event against adults with a score of 28 stableford points from a handicap of 26 at Turnberry. Aged 10 she played alongside Morgan Pressel in the British Open Pro-Am.
Hull then won several amateur events in the United States and Great Britain and has ranked in the top-10 of the World Amateur Golf Ranking, reaching a high of number three in the world.
She played on the Great Britain and Ireland Curtis Cup team in 2012 and lost her fourballs and foursomes matches on the first two days but won her singles match on the final day as the GB&I team beat the United States team 10½–9½.

On Sunday, however, Hull was able to (finally) claim win No. 2, beating China’s Xiyu Lin by at The Ascendant LPGA.
A final-round 64—with eight birdies to bring her week-long total to 23—gave Hull an 18-under 266 total at Old American Golf Club in The Colony, Texas.
If the victory was a long time coming, it was something Hull had perhaps foreshadowed in the 2022 season, having finished in the top-10 four times and the top 20 in seven of her previous 16 starts.
With the victory, Hull earned a prize money payout of $255,000 from an overall purse of $1.7 million.
The first-place payday put Hull past the $1 million in earnings in 2022 and made her the sixth English golfer to win multiple times on the LPGA Tour.

The pin on the 18th was all the way back, with a huge slope just left of the green. Hull went at the flag, tugged it a little and watched it stay on the collar left of the flag. Lin, who closed with a 65, put her approach on the green, just inside Hull’s.
