The sixty-fifth edition of the Caribbean Series will begin on February 2, 2023 in Venezuela, its games will take place in Caracas and La Guaira, and for the first time it will bring together teams from eight countries, the organizers announced Thursday.

These are the member countries of the organization, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and Venezuela; as well as four guests: Colombia, Cuba, Curacao and Panama.
The Caribbean Professional Baseball Commissioner, Juan Francisco Puello Herrera, explained that the tournament will be held in the capital’s La Rinconada stadium, still under construction, and in Macuto, in the coastal state of La Guaira.

The 2023 schedule released by Major League Baseball on Wednesday might look the same in some ways.
There are still 162 games per team, spread from spring to fall, with a brief pause for the All-Star break, and October, as always, the goal.

Cuba
The Caribbean Professional Baseball Confederation (CBPC) announced this Friday that Cuba will participate as a special guest in the Caribbean Series of 2023, to be held in Venezuela in the month of February, according to official media on the island.
Juan Francisco Puello, commissioner of the CBPC, who made the announcement during a press conference via on-line from the capital of the Dominican Republic, according to a publication of the specialized site Hit.
Under the same condition, a team from Curaçao will participate, in such a way that for the first time in the history of these events, eight teams will compete in the event.
The two teams now invited will join the cast of Colombia, Mexico, Panama, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and the host team in Caracas, adds the media.
