The Australian also has a strong record at the Masters, where he has recorded three top-ten finishes.
Cameron Smith also won the 2022 Players Championship, the PGA Tour’s flagship event. However, it’s not just Smith himself that is key to his success, but also his caddie: Sam Pinfold.
His Kiwi caddy, Sam Pinfold, has been caddying for Smith since 2015. He first started working with him in the final two rounds of the 2014 New Zealand Open when his original player didn’t make the cut.
Ever since, the duo has been working together, and given Smith’s performance, it is definitely working well.
In 2022, Smith won the Players Championship. As caddies have a share in the player’s tournament winnings, generally 10 percent, Pinfold won an estimated $500,000 from the victory.
Sam Pinfold is one of the richest caddies, with an estimated pay range of $8k- $12k. His net worth is reportedly around $5 million.
Cameron Smith Girlfriend
Australian Cameron Smith has become one of the best golfers in the world over the last few years.
He has risen to as high as 6th in the world and at the time of writing has had five PGA Tour victories.
Cameron Smith is currently going out with Shanel Naoum and she was pictured with the Australian for the first time after he won the 2022 Players Championship.
We are yet to confirm when the pair started dating exactly and we do not know that much about Naoum at the moment either. We believe she is a resident of Jacksonville, which is possibly how the pair met because Smith lives in the Florida city as well.
It has also been reported she is a Chiropractic Physician and went to the University of North Florida and the Palmer College of Chiropractic.
Smith had been going out with Jordan Ontiveros, who is quite the golfer herself having previously played on the Symetra Tour.
She started playing golf at the age of six and when they were dating she occasionally practiced with Smith out on the course at TPC Sawgrass.
Cameron Smith is currently ranked 3rd in the world as of the most recent September 19 world rankings.
Cameron Smith’s first trip back to his native Australia in three years wasn’t just about headlining the Australian PGA Championship and showing off the claret jug to family and friends in his hometown of Brisbane.
For the World No. 3, who now plays on LIV Golf with its 54-hole events, it was also a return to the traditional form of the game—72 holes of stroke play, a halfway cut and Official World Golf Ranking points. And it was a winning return.
To close out his third career Australian PGA Championship victory, the 2017 and 2018 champion battled two weather delays in Sunday’s final round at Royal Queensland Golf Club en route to securing a three-shot victory at the DP World Tour co-sanctioned event.
Three birdies in his final seven holes, and a clutch bunker save at the 18th, gave Smith a closing 68 and a 14-under-par (270) total.
Japan Tour regular Ryo Hisatsune (65) and Australia’s Jason Scrivener (67) tied for second at 11 under.
Smith had already won four tournaments in a memorable, if also controversial 2022 season. Three came on the PGA Tour, including the Sentry Tournament of Champions, the Players Championship and the 150th Open at St. Andrews before the 28-year-old joined LIV and went on to win in just his second start on the upstart Saudi-back circuit outside of Chicago.
But the Australian PGA Championship was the most emotional triumph, given the amount family in the gallery who hadn’t seen Smith play in person since before the COVID-19 pandemic when Australia introduced harsh travel restrictions.
