Girlfriend
Billy Brownless and former best mate Garry Lyon’s second Christmas family reunion – six years after THAT cheating scandal.
It’s been six years since Nicky Brownless left her AFL star husband Billy for his best mate Garry Lyon, sparking a feud between the former Footy Show co-hosts.
However, it appears the men have mended fences, having spent the past two Christmases together as a blended family.
The once-fractured family reunited for a festive lunch hosted by Nicky, 50, and Garry, 54, last month, with Billy, also 54, and his children, Oscar, Max, Lucy and Ruby, on the guest list.
‘It was nice to be together,’ she added.
Billy and Garry appeared friendly in social media photos taken at the Red Hill retreat Nicky shares with Garry on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula.
New Relationship
AFL great Billy Brownless is finding love again, six years after his marriage ended in an ugly feud with ex-Demons skipper Garry Lyon.
AFL great Billy Brownless has confirmed he has a new lady in his life, six years after his marriage breakdown left him in a bitter feud with former best mate Garry Lyon.
The former Footy Show icon and Triple M radio personality confirmed to the Herald Sun he was “taking it slowly” in the new relationship.
“It’s really new and a nice little friendship. We’re going all right and taking it slowly,” he said.
It comes after Brownless’ Triple M colleagues had joked about the former All-Australian being spotted on dates with a mystery woman.
Speaking to the Herald Sun in July, the 55-year-old said he was looking to fall in love again.
“We are keeping our options open and we are just out there,” Brownless mused.
Billy Brownless wife
Brownless was married to Nicki. They have two daughters, Lucy and Ruby, and two sons, Oscar and Max.
Billy Brownless’ daughter Lucy has opened up about her father’s reunion with former best mate Garry Lyon, who is now in a relationship with Brownless’ ex-wife.
AFL greats and former Footy Show co-hosts, Brownless and Lyon had a nasty falling out in 2016 when Lyon started dating Brownless’ ex-wife Nicky.
Lucy Brownless posted a number of photos on social media showing Billy, Nicky and Garry spending Christmas Day together with the Brownless children in Geelong.
And now Lucy has opened up about the “really special” occasion.
“It worked really well and that was all very positive,” she told the Herald Sun on Thursday.
“We’re all happy and happy to be all together. It was a great day. We were all really excited about that.”
Lucy said she was grateful to be able to spend time with siblings Ruby, Oscar and Max, as well as their parents and grandmother, given the strict COVID-19 restrictions around the country.
“We really enjoyed it and made the most of it,’’ she said.
