The competition is scheduled to take place in Glasgow from 8 to 13 November 2022.
The ties will be contested in a best-of-three rubbers format and played on one day.
There will be two singles followed by a doubles. The finals feature 12 teams.
The Russian Tennis Federation were the reigning champions, but they were banned from competing in international tennis events following the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Switzerland returned back in the semifinals after victories by Olympic medallists Belinda Bencic and Viktorija Golubic propelled them past Canada 2-0 in Friday’s group stage matches.
Bencic clinched the tie by defeating Leylah Fernandez 6-0, 7-5 in the second singles match. Switzerland was last year’s Billie Jean King Cup runners-up.

This includes an unprecedented Player Prize Money (PPM) purse of $8 million, which is $1.2 million more than last year’s $6.8 million and equivalent to the levels of player prize money awarded to the men for the 2022 Davis Cup by Rakuten Finals.

I think then you get into the rhythm a little bit, and of course, it feels great to be pushed by my team and just to have the heart on the sleeve,” Bencic said on the court, after her win. Brilliant backhands by Bencic helped give her the first seven games of the match.
Fernandez’s timing clicked into gear as the contest progressed, taking the ball early to keep the second set close, but Bencic served out the match for the second time asking to seal the tie for the Swiss.

Sanders defeated Heather Watson 6-4, 7-6(3) in the opening singles match, but Britain’s Harriet Dart leveled affairs by upsetting Ajla Tomljanovic 7-6(3), 6-2.
It came down to the decisive doubles match, where Sanders returned and paired with Samantha Stosur to eke out a whisker-thin 7-6(1), 6-7(5), [10-6] victory over Brits Alicia Barnett and Olivia Nicholls.
Australia will now face either Switzerland or the Czech Republic in Sunday’s championship tie. The Swiss and the Czechs play the second semifinal tie, later on, Saturday.
The Aussies, who were Billie Jean King Cup runners-up as recently as 2019, are seeking their first championship since 1974 when they won their seventh title in an 11-year span.
