As of 2022, Margera is without any major sponsorships and has effectively retired from professional skateboarding.
He did return to skating casually, resulting in a renewed partnership with Element Skateboards to celebrate the brand’s 25th anniversary by rereleasing a series of ten of his most memorable deck designs.
The boards were released weekly between September 6 and November 8, 2017. Each deck is signed by Margera and limited to 50 units.
Margera has written, produced and starred in three independent films. He co-wrote, directed and starred in Haggard (2003), an independent film based on real events in the life of his friend Ryan Dunn.
What happened to Bam Margera
Bam Margera has reportedly been admitted to hospital with a serious case of pneumonia.
The 43-year-old former ‘Jackass’ star is believed to have been rushed to a medical centre in San Diego, California earlier this week after falling sick with the lung condition and TMZ reports he later tested positive for coronavirus while under the care of doctors.
The website reports Bam’s condition has been complicated by COVID-19 and he has been placed on a ventilator to aid his breathing. TMZ reports he’s being treated in an intensive care ward and his condition is described as stable.
The health battle comes just months after Bam left his latest stint in rehab.
The TV star was receiving treatment at a court-ordered residential facility in Florida, but he was spotted leaving the 57 Tavern in Sarasota with a mystery woman in early September with sources telling TMZ Bam had left the program.
This isn’t the first time the star has quit rehab. In June, he disappeared from the facility twice. After he went missing for the first time, Bam had previously agreed to return voluntarily to the clinic after being found, and a crisis intervention team escorted him back to the facility.
The star’s manager had reported him missing after he told the clinic manager he would be checking himself into a different rehabilitation establishment in the area before he fled the premises in a black sedan.
Less than two weeks later, he went missing again but was found by a crisis team including his parents, who held an intervention after locating him.
He is said to have fled the facility because he was concerned he wouldn’t see his son again if he stayed.
Bam margera wife
Bam’s wife Nicole Boyd is 38 years old and is from California. Like Bam, she also works in entertainment.
According to Biographypedia, she worked as an actress and performed at PennHurst Asylum, which is one of the scariest haunted attractions in the US.
In 2016, she also appeared on an episode of the TV series Togetherness.
It is not known how the couple met, but on October 5, 2013, they got hitched in Reykjavík, Iceland.
Then on June 19, 2017, Bam announced that his wife was pregnant with their first child.
Margera was engaged to Jenn Rivell, who played a prominent part in several of his projects. The couple appeared to be cohabiting in various episodes of Viva La Bam. Their seven-year relationship ended in 2005.
In November 2006, Margera filed for “protection from abuse” from Rivell after she allegedly broke into his house.
In 2006, Margera became engaged to childhood friend Melissa “Missy” Rothstein. The events leading up to their wedding (with about 350 friends and family in attendance) on February 3, 2007, in downtown Philadelphia, were chronicled on the MTV series Bam’s Unholy Union. The couple’s honeymoon was in Dubai.
